In a SharePoint list there is item level security. This lets us restrict read or edit access so that users can only read or edit their own items.
I cannot find an equivalent item level security for document libraries. Is it possible to set permissions so that a user only has access to his/her own documents?
In some circumstances this is highly desirable. For instance, if it is an InfoPath forms library, you may want to allow users to fill out and save a form. It is OK that they can see all their own forms but you might not want them to be able to see forms created by anyone else.
Similar situations can occur with Word documents in a document library.
