Issues with upgrading from SQL 2000 (36bit machine) to SQL 2008

We are finally looking at upgrading our SharePoint database from SQL 2000 to SQL
2008. We are planning to install SQL 2008 on a new 64-bit machine and move our
current SQL 2000 SP databases (32-bit machine) to the new machine. Has anyone
accomplished this? Any issues? Suggestions on best way to implement?
