I'm attempting to use the Document Library Migration Tools for
exporting documents from SharePoint Portal Server 2001 to a SharePoint
Portal 2003 Document Library.

The spout.exe tool successfully exports the data. The spin.exe tool
completes and tells me that the document library was created, but no
documents are imported. After looking at the log file, it appears
that the export associates a FriendlyVersionID field with each
document, but that field isn't created in the new Document Library.
So, when the tool tries to import each document, it can't map the
FriendlyVersionID field and aborts the import.

I can get it to work by modifying the XML manifest from the spout.exe
tool and adding the FriendlyVersionID field. I'm just wondering if
there is something that I'm doing wrong that prevents me from getting
the tool to work correctly. Why isn't FriendlyVersionID in the XML to
begin with?
