Some issues

Asked By: Bhavika    Date: Dec 23    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 850

there are some issues so if you all guys could answer these i would be very
thankful:

1- my project manager is asking me to change the default colour of the portal to
green because the company we are developing the portal for has some what a green
colour on there corporate logo, i mean change the face of the portal so that it
matches the green colour, i tried frontpage but that doesnt works the way we
want, secondly any area is created should by default come up with the new
colour, and they want the feature so that the colour could be changed by them
whenever they want, you could say themes, dont we have theme for portal or they
are only available for WSS.

2- by default there surveys always appear on the home page (i mean that is the
way they want), but when user gets the right to add, edit or deletes its survey
opinion, it also gets the irght to add list and add documents to the home page
which they donot want, what could be the way that i donot have to go manually
change the look of every page manually using frontpage, there must be some other
way

3- there is a user whose my siteis working totally fine but user cant see the
modify my page option on the top corner of the site, every user has it, where
did the option went away for this user

yes i know and i have done through it very successfully, but there is a problem
over there we have to go and do it on every portal  page, that is total
stupiddity, what if a new page  is made by some sub area  manager, the new theme
wont be available over there, that is why we cant use that one

You can change  the top colour  by using only the

CSS file (Stylesheets) and then add  tehe file path to the Every portal  setting
page, it works  on evey page  of the portal.
