Issue: Encoding Absolute URL in Workflows

I have been trying to define workflow lookups using the Current Item
source and the Encoding Absolute URL field. I have been having the
following issue-

- When I run the workflow and check the email that is sent, the
hyperlink that is provided is the following -

<url removed>

-This link is not an active hyperlink.

Anyone know what might be the problem?
