Asked By: Micah Garza         Date: Aug 11, 2003      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 274

My Legal department is really wanting a document comparison tool.
Most that I have downloaded for trial versions..seem to wig out when I try to pull out files from our Sharepoint document libraries. If you can provide any information or suggestions as to a comparison software that is compatible with share point can you please e-mail me.

Try referencing the documents using My Network Places (let me know if
you don't know how to add a network place to a WSS site and its document
libraries). It should behave very similar to the way that files  on any
network share  behave.

I and my users do use "my netowork places" to access various files
now.

After getting a beta demo today of Workshare's new product..due to
release in february, I'm thinking that will work great!

I just installed it. Waiting on NetOpps to push it out to the
company later this week.

Maybe it will help with some of the sharepoint  pain
