Irregular Recurring Meeting

Asked By: Jakob    Date: Jan 02    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1950

When users set up meetings through outlook using the meeting workspace they usually set up a REGULAR recurring meeting. This works ok. More often than not meetings need to be moved to other dates to accommodate people unable to attend. This means the meeting is now occurring irregularly.

How can users change the date in the quicklaunch sidebar of a meeting workspace to reflect that the meeting took place on a Tuesday rather than a Thursday of this week but it takes place on a Wednesday next week.

The problem arises from an auditing point of view when an auditor asks to see the dates that security meetings occur on. Often then dates on the site are out-of-whack with when the notes of the meeting were taken.

Since the meeting  was schedule via Outlook - just go back to Outlook and change  the meeting date  of that meeting. It will be reflected in SharePoint in the meeting workspace.
