Internet acees and screen resolution ..

Asked By: Meera    Date: Aug 15    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 889

I would like my windows share point site to be available to our
users over the internet, so i would like to implemets forms
authentication as the windows authentication dialog box has been
mentioned by our users as very irritating.

has any body been sucessful in implementing forms authentication
with sharepoint?

i also had another question, when i set my screen resolution to
1024* 768, i see scroll bars on both the sides, we need to get rid
of the scroll bars i cannot think of any other option other then
making adjustment to the size of the web part zone globally is there
are place where i can set the web part zone to a particular size?

does anybody have any ideas of how to achieve both these?

Forms authentication  is not supported for either WSS or SPS. While there are a
few possible workarounds that can enable this for web browsing, these don't
cover access via web folders, Office 2003, etc so they are highly discouraged.

For the latter you can either hardcode the size of your web parts individually
using the web part properties for each, or edit the web part zones using
FrontPage 2003.
