installing WSS 3.0 on w2k8 - 64bit

Just had to reformat on of our servers and in preperation for 2010 I told
them to install OS w2k8-64bit, but when I am trying to install WSS 3.0 sp2 that
I downloaded from MS site it is giving me this error WSS 3.0 "setup is unable to
proceed due to the following error s this 32-bit product must be run on a 32-bit
Operating system. For 64-bit support ......"!!! Question is, is there anyway to
install WSS 3.0 on w2k8 - 64 bit or am I going to have to have them reformat
this box and install 32 bit OS and what happends when we go to 2010 64 bit?

You should start your own post since this is not relevant to this topic but did
you download the correct WSS:

This one does not have the Service Pack 2 slipstreamed...

There is a different download that contains the 64 bit version. You can
download it from here:

I feel like kind of dumb after that LOL! But google didn't point me
in the right direction very well, AND SORRY FR33 I am having issues with my mail
so I changed to my live acct, thought I was starting a new thread.
