Installing SPS2003 on Windows Server 2003 R2

Is a SPS2003 install on Windows Server 2003 R2 possible? I’m not sure if the 2.0 framework is installed by default by the OS, and I’m not sure how the fact that a WSSV2 install is possible via Add/Remove Windows Components would impact the SPS2003 install sequence.

Has anyone attempted this?

Any observations or opinions would be much appreciated.
