INSTALLING ECTS - ONLY TWO FEATUREs INSTALL

I have been trying this for days. Iam using the new download (July) from DaveMowers. The wizard does not work and the other scripts have to be carefully dismantled and each command run one by one in order for me to get anywhere. I thought I was on the home stretch when I successfully activated the first and last features:
STSADM -o activatefeature -name ExternalCollaboration (ECTSBASE also) -url http://esminteract

ALL OTHER FEATURES WILL NOT ACTIVATE FOR EXAMPLE:
stsadm -o activatefeature -name ConfigurationUtility -url http://ESMInteract

I removed the sharepoint collection and site and did a re-install and the features installed according to plan. Of course, now I have another issue. The Firewall changes have been made, but I do not get a forms-based authrentication page from the outside.
