  Asked By: Brandon    Date: Jul 10    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 3324

I am using sharepoint control InputformTextbox.
I have tried to fetch the value of this control in javascript by using following code.
alert(document.getElementById(InputformTextbox clientId).value);
But I am unable to get the value of control in the alert.

dude , controls get render on the page differently when they are in content place holder, so either u can find the control  by just direcly looking at the source page , it will be like ctr_placeholer_1_inputformtext_1.

or u can use document.getelementbyid ("<%= inputformtextbox>");

Sharepoint control  InputformTextBox consistss of two parts.
a>Panel consiting of rich html tools
b>iFrame which is the textarea
document.getElementByTag('iFrame') gives the exact solution.
Even by getting document.getElementById('ctr_placeholer_1_inputformtext_1') will not fetch  any value.
