Infrastructure related question

Asked By: Kassandra Larsen         Date: Sep 08, 2008      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 232

I am building out my cluster and….I get the dreaded login prompt every
time I try to put it up on the software cluster IP and use an alternate
access mapping of…. intranet.texas.com

If I leave the server off of the cluster and come at the server using
its name (in this case cxd-spt-01), works fine, auto-authenticates
without an issue…

What zone is intranet.texas.com added to in your local IE? Autologin
only happens for intranet/trusted OOTB for IE6, and only for intranet
for IE7. Any other zone will need a change to your IE settings to
either switch zones or enable automatic login  for the current zone.
