Information store service

I noticed that the file store.exe consume a lot of memory on the
server...about 1 GIG!! Is this normal for SharePoint Exhange Info Store
service? How will other applications work if they need this memory...does
it easily release it?

This is normal behaviour. SPS uses dynamic buffer allocation for the
usage of the store.exe. As long as you don't put SQL on the same server
will return memory  to other applications if needed. REmember .. you did
the memory in the server so that the application can use it :)

Problems with memory  handling. Two applications with dynamic buffer
allocation isn't good.
