Information Management Policy Settings - Expiration rules

Asked By: Susana Dominguez         Date: Jan 04, 2010      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 604

Is it possible to have only certain documents expire within a list? For example, if I have a column called "Category" and one of the category values is "Internal Releases", I would like to have only those items expire as I consider it dated content. When I try to set up an expiration rule for a content type, it only allows me to set the number of days/months/years. There's not any other criteria based on other columns.

How could I accomplish this selective expiration based on specific item column values?

Information management  Policies doesn't provide flexibilty to set  expiration policy  based on SiteColumn value.

However, i believe you can have it acheived using "Set programatically" option under Expriration policies...
