InfoPath forms for users without InfoPath or IE

Asked By: Tyson    Date: May 20    Category: MOSS    Views: 1887

I'm interested in using an InfoPath form library in a SharePoint 2003
site but I want people without InfoPath and even without Internet
Explorer (like Mozilla Firefox users) to use the system. I want the
form results to be published to the SharePoint form library and be
readable by those users without InfoPath and/or Internet Explorer.
Are there any products people can recommend or solutions to this problem?

I think Qdabra Software (http://www.qdabra.com) has a product that can
do this. I've never used it so I can't vouch for it, but the company
employs several InfoPath MVPs.

I'm actually not trying to be a smart aleck, but the only answer to your
requirements is SharePoint 2007 Enterprise Edition. You can't host
InfoPath forms  from SharePoint 2003 without the infopath  client to fill
them in. You need InfoPath Forms Server which is included in MOSS 2007
Enterprise Edition or sold separately to run on WSS v.3 (SharePoint
2007).
