InfoPath development

Asked By: Kimberlee    Date: Feb 09    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 869

I know this is not an InfoPath forum, but I was hoping someone could point me in
the right direction.

I have successfully created and published an InfoPath form to our SharePoint
environment. Our life cycle consists of a dev platform, then moved to a QA
(test) platform and then finally to the production environment. My problem is
that I am not sure how to go back and make modifications to the form without
affecting production. My developer attempted to do this and it resulted in
affecting the production form. Is it as simple as just changing the data

Another question is, what is the best way to move a form through the different
phases? We have been just changing the data connection and publishing to the
next logical server (devQAProd).

I would:
1. Save the form  to your desktop from whichever server  you are moving from .
2. Modify the form on your desktop; changing  the data  connections to the new
server as well as chaning any submit action where necessary.
3. Publish the form to the new server.

That is very similar to what I thought should happen.
