InfoPath C# debug.writeline(...) does not work

In VSTA C# on an InfoPath form, in debug mode, I cannot get debug.writeline or
trace.writeline to do anything. It complies, runs, but no output. I've got a
msgbox that works, so I know I am going thru the code.

What is the secret??
