How to include non-approved documents?

Asked By: Margarita    Date: Jan 12    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1151

Can anyone help me to get through this problem?

I need to view non-approved documents on a webpart.
I've managed to view only for approved/published
documents using ASP (through ADODB connection) and
queries, but the non-approved
documents are not included. How can I specify
non-approved documents to be included also?

Or, is there another way to do this not by using ASP
and queries?

I'm using Sharepoint Portal Server 2001 on Windows
2000 Server.

I realy..realy.. need your guidance and inputs.

U can import the attached web part into ur sharepoint  site or below is
the script for the embedded content and the XSL content. U will get a
combo box which has the docs checked out to u, awaiting ur approval and
pending approval. Hope this solves ur problem.

Thank you for your reply.

I've tried your code but I always got this error on my webpart:
"Script Execution Error: Syntax error " What is the problem? and What should I

i've tried to check the syntax, but I haven't find the problem yet, I will try
it again..
As I informed you that I've managed  viewing only the published document...

This is my query:

select ""DAV:creationdate"", ""DAV:href"", ""DAV:displayname"",
""DAV:getlastmodified"" from scope('deep traversal of ""/%my_workspace%/""')
where ""DAV:contentclass"" <> 'urn:content-classes:smartfolder' ORDER BY
""DAV:getlastmodified"" ASC

Can I just specify the scope to include  the non-approved/unpublished documents  ?

I've done viewing the
webpart on my dashboard (previously, I didn't run the
script first). Thanks..

But actually that's not my question, sorry if there
was any ambiguity in my question.

What I meant was, how can I view  all the unpublished
versions? Because my client want to make a weekly
report, which contains all published documents  and
also their corresponding unpublished versions.

I've tried to use PKMCDO (using VersionHistory method)
on ASP, but when I create the object:

Set oDoc = CreateObject("PKMCDO.KnowledgeDocument")
set oVer = CreateObject("PKMCDO.KnowledgeVersion")
set oRS = CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")
set oStream = CreateObject("ADODB.Stream")

I always get this error on my browser:

Error Type:
Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A01AD)
ActiveX component can't create object:

I've tried to register the dll ("regsvr32
pkmcdo.dll"), but it still doesn't work..

Does anyone know on how to use PKMCDO on ASP?
Is there any other way to do this (without PKMCDO and
