Importing Workflows into WSS 3.0

Asked By: Paul    Date: Jan 06    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1791

I would like to import workflows created in SPD into WSS.

I have a Forms library in which I have a number of content types and I wish to
create a workflow for each content type,
rather than have them in seperate libraries with a workflow for the library.

Is this possible?

E.G I have a Leave Application form and a Clothing Request form. I wish for them
both to be in Web Forms library, and have
a workflow for each. Now when I create a workflow in SPD, i can apply it to the
Web Forms library, but this is no good, as
i need to apply it to the specific content type, I.E. A workflow for the Leave
Application, and another for Clothing request, but the
user can create them both in Web Forms.

Designer workflows  are attached to a specific  list or library  and are not
exportable.

SharePoint Designer workflows  can't be attached to content  types. Only
workflows created  in Visual studio can be attached to content types. SPD
workflows are attached to a specific  list or library  when they are created and
can't be moved.
