Please excuse me, if you feel I am naive in this. I have a custom
share point (2010) list with data. I also have the custom list definition
for this list. Now, I created a list instance in a different application. I
managed to export all the data from the existing list into an excel sheet. I
am trying to import the excel data into the newly created list (same
schema), but couldn't find a way to do it. The only way I found was to
create a new list based on the excel sheet itself. But I don't want to do
this. I want to create the list using the list definition (which I could
accomplish) and import the data from the excel sheet. If I remember it
correctly, this was possible in 2007. Can anyone please help me and correct
my mistake?
