How can I import data (such as appointments) from an Outlook 2003calendar into a MOSS Calendar on a team site?
there is a web part in MOSS called MyMail Calender, just add it to the page andconfigure it by giving it the http for the Mailserver and the account you want ,it is easy to be done
I cannot use MyCalendar web part for this task.My user wants to migrate all appointments from an Outlook calendar for theregional staff into a SharePoint calendar. This will be one time job to importthe data. After the conversion, all appointments will be maintained inSharePoint.
the outlook calender is for signel user , how it is used for a completestaff? but like this you can make normal calender and someone update it .
Is there any reason why you couldn't just create the calendar inSharepoint, connect it to Outlook, and then within Outlook, have theuser drag all of the items from their personal calendar to theSharepoint calendar?
That requires Outlook 2007, he was specifically asking about Outlook2003 which only does SharePoint -> Outlook, not 2 way syncs.
I tried that with Office 2003 and got errors. I tried it with Office 2007 and that works well.
Two way synch requires Office 2007. Simply add the calendar to Outlookvia the Actions menu then update it in Outlook. Your changes will besynched automatically.
