IE7 tab has no text

Asked By: Stella Dillard         Date: Sep 28, 2008      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 186

I created a new web part page on one of my sites and put it at the root of main
site along with my default page. When I open the page the tab has no text in it.
I cannot find a property setting or am able to view the title tag in the code in
Designer. When I right click on the page and "View Source" I can see the tag in
Notepad.

I spent over 90 minutes messing around with this. Any help is
appreciated

Is this a publishing page? If so, did you change the Title of the page
in the pages library?

created  this page  in SharePoint in the subsite then moved it from the document
library to the root  of the subsite along with the default  page. The subsite
does not have the publishing feature turned on. I then edited the page in
Designer.

So where is the page  stored? In a page library? If so, can you check its
properties and look for "Title"?

I guess I know enough to be dangerous but not enough to fully understand the
inner workings of SharePoint. I do appreciate your feedback and patience.

This page  I created  is stored wherever the default.aspx page is stored (image

the title  text box of the page properties window in Designer (image 074027) with
no success.
