IE 8 - Dataview broken

Asked By: Ravi    Date: Feb 06    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1277

I recently updated to IE 8 to start testing compatibility issues and found that
when trying to edit list in dataview it crashes the browser! Anyone else
experiencing this?

I have had the same problem. My understanding is that microsoft is aware of it.
I had to delete ie 8 from my system in order to use the dataview  again. I also
can't use explorer view.

anyone know any fixes?

I have a couple of test users using IE8. The biggest issue we've had is that
InfoPath forms don't propagate properly... form throws an error message and can
click continue... form opens... but none of the data that should be pulled in
from the profiles comes in. I'm wondering if the error with the dataview  is the
same/similar issues??

For what it's worth Firefox responds the same way as IE8 with the InfoPath
