http vs. https errors in SP2010

Date: May 29    Category: Sharepoint 2010    Views: 744

In a 2010 site I am working on I can see most things on the http side, but can't
see the Site Settings unless I use https. Also when I try to add a document to a
doc library I get the "List does not exist" error. The master pages have been
fooled around with to try to get the site to look like they want it. Also
another company built a web page for the front end home page, so that they could
make it look like they wanted. And that has messed some things up. Links don't
always work, and it just doesn't act right. Fortunately not a lot of content is
on there yet. I'm thinking it might be best just to provision a new site
collection and start over!
