HTTP Error 403 Forbidden

I'm getting an error (suddenly) on my SharePoint web site
From the search facility. I can click through and download documents, manage
subscriptions, create
A new dashboard, etc. etc. I can do pretty much everything but search
My portal. When I click on the search button, I get the error message above
and a blank page.

Any ideas?
