Home Link in Site Navigation

Asked By: Colin Stephens         Date: Feb 08, 2006      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 351

Does anyone know where and how the link for Home is set in a WSS site? I have a custom site definition, and I want to override the wording of Home. I've cracked open the ONET.xml for the site definition, and I see the <NavBar><NavBarLink> section, but only Documents and Lists, Create, and Site Settings are displayed in that section.

Does anyone know of a way to remove or at least override the Home link?

At the Bottom on the ONET.XML file you have three <module> sections. Within each of these are two <NavBarPage> tags that contain the word Home. Change them to whatever you feel like and voila! You got er chief!
