Hiding System/Admin Active Directory Accounts in WSSv3 and WSSv2

Asked By: Carlton Sandoval         Date: Jul 25, 2007      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 230

Is it possible to hide specific accounts in Active Directory on the
Manage Users' page in SharePoint. For example, if system admin account
is viewable on the manage users' page, is there a setting in SharePoint
to the account even if the account is part of the users listed for the
SharePoint site? I hope the question is clear enough.

In v2 we just delete the administrative account  once we go to a site. I don't
think there's any way to hide  it, unfortunately.

You may have success by placing all of your user accounts  in a separate OU and
then importing just that OU. That way you won't have admin/server accounts in
the profiles.
