Hide UPLOAD and ACTION toolbar

i need to hide Upload and Action toolbar from users.
any ideas?

You can hide  menu entries from users  using a HideCustomAction feature. You can
find out more information here:


But you should be aware that users can also open a windows explorer view of a
library by mapping a directory from the desktop or open a web folder. These
cannot be disabled without crippling functionality in SharePoint. I suspect you
are trying to keep users from uploading files because they aren't doing it
right. If thats the case then the solution is training, not trying to change
the software. If its just a matter of users shouldn't be able to add anything
to the library then Peter is right. Just change their security so they can't
add items.

I am assuming you are reffering to toolbar  at top for lists you can do this in
the web-part properties panel

site actions --> edit page --> on the list you want to hide  the toolbar on edit
menu select modify shared web part from the flyout menu --> in the properties
panel to the right there is a section called toolbar type select no toolbar from
the drop down
