Hide quick launch space in MOSS 2007

I have two web part pages on a moss site that I want to hide the quick
launch menu for. I can use the css code hack in a CEWP to hide the
quick launch menu, but I need to remove the space. Is there an easy way
to do this without creating a master page?

The Quicklaunch is specified as the default contents of the LeftNavBar
placeholder on the masterpage. To override it for a specific page simply
include a LeftNavbar placeholder on the page that contains an empty string.
This will override the Quicklaunch but leave the column in place. To remove the
space used for the QuickLaunch you also need to add a placeholder for the
LeftNavSpacer (or something like that) placeholder. Its defined on the
masterpage with a Width setting. Overriding it on a specific page with a null
string will allow the table cell containing the Quicklaunch to contract down to
