  Asked By: Code    Date: Oct 08    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1236

On Portal Server website/workspace it will show Help link at the right most
corner of the page.
How can I remote that link ?
Is it possible to configure like only Coordinator can see that link.

To simply remove the help  link:
Change dbView.xsl and dbview_ie.xsl
remove or comment out the following 3 lines:
<xsl:if
test="/DAV:multistatus/DAV:response[0]/DAV:propstat/DAV:prop/WP:HelpLink[.!='']"\
>
<xsl:eval no-entities="t">"|&nbsp;"</xsl:eval><a
class="DashCommand" name="__HelpLink" target="_blank"><xsl:attribute
name="href"><xsl:value-of
select="/DAV:multistatus/DAV:response[0]/DAV:propstat/DAV:prop/WP:HelpLink"/></x\
sl:attribute><xsl:attribute name="title"><xsl:apply-templates
select="//String[@_locID='L_HelpTip_Text']"/></xsl:attribute><xsl:apply-template\
s select="//String[@_locID='L_HelpLink_Text']"/></a>
</xsl:if>
If you want coordinators only to see it, do not remove the lines above, simply
wrap the lines above with:
<xsl:if
test="/DAV:multistatus/DAV:response/DAV:propstat/DAV:prop[DDF:CanPersonalize='1'
and DAV:contentclass='urn:schemas-microsoft-com:webpart']">
and
</xsl:if>
tags. These are used to display or not display the other "coordinator" tags.

Sorry about the wrapping text.
