Need help on site usage reports

Asked By: Jitendra    Date: Jul 02    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 2340

My client wants a report that should have all users who are accessing the current site on monthly basis

I went to the SharePoint designer (Site->site summary->Usage->Visiting User) to get this report, but it shows only top20 users along with “All others”

Is there a way to get a complete list of users?

I welcome all your suggestions on this

You can try by going to a particular site  under site settings and choose site usage  reports under site administration section. This will display list  of users  of last 30 days.

Site - > Site Settings -> Site Usage Reports.

If you want to capture every month like all users visited in current  month then write a sharepoint  timer job and inside timer job use sharepoint object model as below. Schedule your time job which will capture and store to a list or any repository.

SPWeb.GetUsageData(SPUsageReportType.user,SPUsagePeriodType.day)
