Need help: printing custom list without having a web page for each

Here is an interesting project problem:

I have created several "lists" and these are used to manage internal
projects inside of Sharepoint . Each list has its own "views" of its
data. What I want to do is put an icon on the toolbar and the code to
print the list. I have been using the spstoolbar(Milne), but for each
view it requires a seperate page to display the view with the toolbar
above it to be set up. This becomes moot if I have the print function
available for each view, on the toolbar.

So I am looking to have the listings (with a full toolbar) as "new
item", "filter item", and then "Print"

Anyone know where I should start with this? What files to look at,
suggests, potential traps, better ways to do this?
