Help on jumpstart for sharepoint 2007 design and customization

I want to start working on customizing the site.Basically design part for
sharepoint 2007.Till now i was doing webpart development. Can you tell me which
book or link or something will give me good idea to start with this idea?

There are really only two people that I know about that focus
exclusively on customizing SharePoint's UI:

(both from memory so if the URL doesn't work use your favorite search
