Header user Control

Asked By: Ronald    Date: Jan 15    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1017

I have a header user control (.ascx) to replace team site header. I can display user control using Jan's Smart Part as a web part, Requirement is to display it at the top of the page and add it a custom site definitions.

Just modify your site  definition to use the Alternate header  perhaps?

This has a decent report on the issue...

For the team  site, this is similar.

I prefer using a CSS behavior to add  a header/footer at the top/bottom
of the document.body element on the page  better than using the
AlternateHeader attribute of the Project element in the ONET.XML file.

I talk about the use of AlternateHeader in my SharePoint Advisor article
and in my custom site  definition example on Mindsharp's Premium Content
page.
