GUID of Custom List

  Asked By: Shonda    Date: Oct 29    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1442

I want to display the Custom List content in Content Editor webpart, for this i am writing JavaScript and other APIs because i dont have access to sharepoint object model.

And, my question is i have created list called Employee so how can i get GUID of this list (with out using object model).

Go to settings page of that list  and you can see the guid  in the url itself like http://webapp/sites/sitename/_layouts/listedit.aspx?List=%7B7DB21608%2DC441%2D46F3%2D8A4A%2DF3DDF86BCF10%7D

Replace the %7B with '{' , %2D with '-' and %7D with '}' i.e for the above example the guid = {7DB21608-C441-46F3-8A4A-F3DDF86BCF10}
