Group email will not work when all selected

I need to send emails to all of my Group Members, yet when I go to Site
Settings | People and Groups and select all members and then
select "Email Users" the Email message does not come up.

However, if I select a subset (say 10) of my users the Email box does
appear.

I assume it is a length limitation on the MS Exchange email "To:"
capabilities.

Is there a workaround for this?

Actually it's a limitation  of the URL size (2083 characters, I believe) in
Internet Explorer.

Does anyone know off-hand if the Bamboo email  web part solves this
problem?
