Gradual Upgrade help needed

Asked By: Eddy    Date: May 07    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 646

I'm running a gradual upgrade on a test VM farm with
customized site definitions. I copied over the site
definitions from the PROD farm and prescan ran fine at
that point. The install went fine and I was able to
run through all of my site listings through the CA
page, but when I go to access them, I'm seeing the
dreaded 'An unexpected error has occured'. I tried
reverting the site back to the stock site definition
but that didn't help.

I have a feeling it's partly due to my mapping file.
I wasn't too clear about this process, so let me
describe what I did. I took a copy of WSSUpgrade.XML
and renamed it to EASTS_Upgrade.xml (EASTS is the name
of the customized site definition). I then modified
the file to include the ID number of the site
definition (10001) but that's where I stopped. I was
unsure whether any further modifications were
required.

Any idea what I've missed here?
