Getting Office SharePoint Server errors event id 6482 on WFE server

Asked By: Kyle    Date: Jan 30    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 4248

I just added a new WFE server to the farm. Everything else seems to
work just fine except the search. I get 'Your search cannot be
completed because of a service error. Try your search again or
contact your administrator for more information' error.

In event viewer, i am getting event id 6482 every minute with the
following error:
Event Type: Error

I have confirmed that the issue is not related to any of my service
accounts i am using as i have gone through and verified that i am
using the correct credentials about 3-4 times already.

Has anyone seen this error. Any help you can provide would be very
much helpful.

Try editing the properties of the Shared Services Provider and re-entering the
password. This fixed it last time for me.

The problem is that i have 2 WFE servers. One server  works just fine
but this one doesn't so i am assuming there is no issue with the
credentials. Although i will give it a shot to see if that helps.
Also i am not able to start the 'office SharePoint Search Service'
eithe. i am getting the following error:

An unhandled exception occurred in the user interface.Exception
Information: Unable to connect to the remote server

I am workign with our firewall team to make sure there are no
firewall issues here but it is kind of weird because other services
are running just fine. Also this is just a WFE server, according to
Microsoft, the only thing i have to have running is 'Windows
SharePoint Services Web Application' for WFE role.
