Get '[Today]' in doc Lib

Asked By: Daniel    Date: Apr 09    Category: MOSS    Views: 842

How to set today's date as content type for the document library? I have to do
some calculations with dates in document library.
eg. (date Created + 45) and then have to find out how how many days the reports
has been created.. so I need to do DATEDIF(start_date, end_date, "D"). For this
my end_date should be 'Today's Date'.

Unfortunately there hasn't been any "official" documentation on how to
manipulate Today's Date in this manner, but there are a few people who have come
up
with workable solutions that helped me.:

te&pli=1

Using the instructions from article above my basic calculations got correct but
I want to add this meta data fields in to my custom content type and want to
create a feature from that.. I am not sure how to add/delete this dummy Today
column after activate/decativate feature or if there is any fix from Micorsoft
for MOSS 2007 is available or not...

I can't believe they haven't fixed this for 2007. Hopefully something
has been done about it for 2010...
