Get Started with Programming SharePoint

Asked By: Fredrick Swanson         Date: Mar 24, 2010      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 213

I have been involved in sharepoint administration activities for some
time now.

Recently, we have been allocated a project which requires programming
sharepoint server 2007 beta.

I see lot of discussions regarding programming aspects of sharepoint
here on this group.

Can anyone please suggest me the best way to GET STARTED with
sharepoint programming?

My team has extensive asp.net application development experience
using visual 2002 and visual studio 2003 platforms.

Any web-links , links to resources online (SDKs , MSDN, white papers,
code samples) would be highly useful.

We are particularly focusing on working with document libraries and
perform following tasks:

(1) add, update, delete a document in doc. lib.

(2) Enable Versioning of the document

(3) Assign basic rights by group

Workflow related topics:

(4) Basic email when the document changes

(5) Approval mechanism
