Cannot get the list schema column property from the SharePoint

We have recently deployed Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Office 2007,

On certain lists when we export to Excel, or refresh data in an existing excel
sheet we receive the following error:

"Cannot get the list schema column property from the SharePoint List."

We have only "Configured" SharePoint not "Developed" (no custom C# code or
ASP.net, just used out the box lists and content types etc...)

If I remove SP2 in Office the export works fine
(removed using:
www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx\
-8ff2223f97c4&displaylang=en) on the same computer.

To narrow it down, it is not all lists in our SharePoint,
On the lists that do throw the error I can narrow it down even further, I can
create a view with singles or a handful of columns that export successfully,
Example if I have a List

Column A | Column B | Column C

A view containing Column's A,B and C will fail, but If I exclude Column B, (Just
Export Column A,C within a view) it then works.

I can then create a view displaying only Column B which will fail, so I think it
is individual columns causing the problem.

I have also searched google and found the same / similar error occurs relating
to date format columns, I followed the advice in these articles but was a wild
goose chase in this case.

I am not sure if this is a Office 2007 SP2 issue or some kind of corruption /
misconfiguration in our SharePoint, but any ideas would be appreciated,
