Get file name from document library for infopath form

Asked By: Tarak    Date: Oct 14    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 7757

I am trying to cretae an infopath form that can pull the filename from a
document in a document library. I can get every other field into the infopath
form except the filename. Ahs anyone ever tried this before?

I have tried using a solution that uses the xml service but that doesn't work
for me, details of which are here.

Hopefully someone here can help out?

Why don't you create a datasource and point it to the Form Library

Look at Step 2 of this resource:

I had responded to this earlier but i guess it didn't go through.

you will have to look for control named onetidIOFile in the page and check
the text property to get the file  name.

You will have to find the control named "onetidIOFile" and get the text value
to get the name.
