This link shows a bitmap of the "Gaps" problem I have.
I've come to realise this is probably a "webpart gap" but can't find
it in any CSS file, so maybe its somewhere else?

its an HTML problem  dude. make changes in "dbview_ie.xsl" available at:

Portal>Resources folder. add this to <body>, if it not there:

<body topmargin="0" leftmargin="0">

For anyother gaps, check for:

1. any extra space
2. unwanted <p> or <br> tags
3. table rows
4. table cellpadding or cellspacing

It is indeed in dbview_ie.xsl

It took me 3 hours to figure out the 3 lines I had to modify.
It wasn't margins, it was "class=xxx" and removing an entire <DIV>
statement that contained a spacer graphic.

A real pain, but my site looks sexy now.
