Front Page Document Library Customization

Asked By: Sydney    Date: Aug 10    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 785

I'm trying to modify (actually juts hide) some of the fields of a document
library forms. I edit the respective forms (editform.aspx, displayform.aspx,
uploadform.aspx) and rightclick and customize SharePoint list form. But when
I do that I can only see the tags (question marks) so I cannot identify what
exactly I want to delete. I even try blind but with no success. If I do this
in a list, not document library it works fine and I can see a table showing
both the tags (question marks) and the view data so it's simple to delete
what I want. What I want to do is to hide the default "title" and "name"
fields so they cannot be edited (file name in special).

I'm doing something wrong here? Any ideas?
