Fried my installation

I ran the setup wizard in repair mode and seemed to have screwed
myself pretty good.

When I go to a site collection I get this error logged:
DelegateControl: Exception thrown while adding control
'Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal.WebControls.SearchBoxEx': Thread was
being aborted.

Can anyone give me some pointers on tracing this down so I can fix it.

The solution was to rerun the standard wizards afterwards, just as if
you were setting it up for the first time. Everything came back to
life after that.
