Forms Web Part

Asked By: Raymundo    Date: Sep 01    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1217

Can someone link me to a good tutorial about how to use the forms web

I have a form that is in a basic html page that I want to put on
sharepiont. It is an rsvp form for our employee appreciation party.
Basically they just fill out there name, department, number of guests
and if they will or will not be attending adn it emails the info to a
specified person.

I am trying to think of any other templates or something in sharepiont
that would maybe be better then using a form in this situation but I
can't think of anything. If you guys can think of something let me know.

Thanks in advance.

How about a survey? That way the person  getting the responses doesn't
have to manually tally the results of how many people are attending.
The survey will do that for them.

I would think that would be a lot faster than creating an XML form.

Would a survey let the person  in charge pull a report on who is
actually going? They will use this list to set up the gifts etc. IE
if it say I am coming with one guest there will be a gift waiting for
me and one guest.

Surveys let you export results to Excel, so you could export the results
and filter by positive responses to the "Are you attending" field. That
would then give you a list of names if you needed to do gift cards. If
it purely mass where you need to verify you have enough gifts for the
attendees, then you could just go by the total number  of responses (be
it are you attending, check yes, or how many in your party, enter value,
