Forms authentication and trapping Logout

Asked By: Alyssa    Date: Nov 28    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1034

Does anyone have any ideas how to solve this problem? As you
maybe aware, when forms authentication is enabled on a given site,
authentication requests are redirected to the login.aspx form. In my
case, I need to be able to trap the logout to perform some housecleaning
(such as deleting a cookie etc..). Per below, when the user clicks on
"Sign-In as a different User", I can trap this because there is a unique
id passed in the query string 'loginasanotheruser' , but when logout is
clicked, there is no id and worse the parameters are identical to that
of a user accessing the portal to login. Therefore I cannot use the
query string to differentiate the two in my login.aspx.
