Formatting Web Parts

Asked By: Michael    Date: Nov 06    Category: Sharepoint 2010    Views: 1691

I'm new to Sharepoint and am curious about what's involved in formatting sites - and webparts in particular. Even with different themes applied, I don't like how the Headings of Web Parts are formatted, and the easily get lost in the clutter, and aren't very distinguishable.

A Google search has found some articles that suggest changes need to be made via scripting - so for someone like me, who isn't very competent in that area finds this difficult.

Is there any 'easy' method for people like me to format the headings of web parts? Even if it is just giving it a strong background colour and making the heading text white?

Hi Mick,
You can get the class name from the webpart. Using that class name you can overwrite the styles.
