1. Try to limit the no.of uploads or do it in batches rather than dumping huge
data on to sharepoint.

2. Check if your database is full or the tlog is piling up. A quick sql
services restart might help temporarily.

3. But I guess, you take serious investigation on your web server and DB
server event logs and check for critical errors.

Possibly Three reasons for this error,

1. The localdrive, where the Database is installed,
does not have enough space.

2. The size of any one of the file is greater then
maximum allowed size for that virtual server.

3. The file name of any one of the files  contains
specail characters "%", "?", "/", etc

Just fine dthe actual reason and tel me na.
If you have not applied SP2 then apply it. TRhis will
detail the error. You will be able to find the exact

This happens to us from time to time and a reboot of the SQL Server cures

There are two aspects to the problem:

A. Functional B. Server Side

A. Functional:

* Check the naming convention of the document  and the document
library. No spaces and special characters
* If multiple/single uploads are failing for a specific users, then
check the service packs of the Office applpication or recently installed
applications like toolbars etc..
* If it is happening for a single DL then move the contents to a new
DL. This is the only option.
* If its happening for newly created DLs as well as earlier ones

B. Server Side

* Check for database compatibility parameter in enterprise manager,
should be 80.
* Small / Large files  throw this error? then
* Surely a disk space issue. Free space is getting fragmented. So
when you do a chunk upload, server looks for continous free disk which
is not found hence the error. This is a major issue, hence DB
consultation is recomended.
* Make sure there no heavy activity on the DB like any sort of
backups or transactions during peak hours
* Restarting the DB server would temporarily solve the issue, hence a
cheesy solution. Expect the issue to bounce back.
